Carroll R. Grause

Grause, Carroll R., age 86, of Centerville, passed away on January 1, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Carroll graduated from New Richmond High School, Class of 1941 and then received his degree from the Cincinnati Mechanics Institute. He was a long time employee of the New Richmond Bank, First National Bank of Sabina and retired as Vice President of the First National Bank of Miamisburg. He was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving during WWII as a Gunner's Mate, First Class, F. & A.M. New Richmond Lodge, and past president of the Centerville Chamber of Commerce. Carroll was also an avid swimmer at the Washington Township Rec. Center.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 63 years: Betty; daughter and son-in-law: Carla Beth (Larry) Anderkin; grandchildren: Marc (Kathy) Anderkin & Shana (Doug) Grant; two great grandchildren: Aden & Leila Grant; niece: Dianne Ryan; nephew: Mike Hoh; sister-in-law: Marjorie Hoh; two great nieces; two great nephews; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Carroll S. & Hester Ann Grause; sister: Martha L. Gillespie; nephew: Greg Gillespie; and a still born son.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, 4100 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Hospice of Dayton or the First Baptist Church, Bellbrook. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
