Carolyn Rita Bauman

Carolyn Rita Bauman, age 85 of Union, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024.

Carolyn was born in Dayton on July 17, 1938 to the late Karl & Rita Pittl.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Courtney Henderson; grandsons, Anthony Bauman and Kenton Peck; and brothers, Karl Pittl, Jr. and John Pittl.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Kurt Bauman (Dennis Bashore), Kris Bauman, Dirk Bauman, Rich Bauman (Jodie), Erik Bauman (Robin Helms), Dale Bauman and Viktoria Cooper (Matt); 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Sexton, Janet Collins, Carla Overs, Virginia Gauthier (Dan), Mary Collins (Luke), Tony Pittl (Margo), Joe Pittl (Gwen), Bill Pittl (Carrie), Tina Hoskins (Tim) and Glen Riley (Debbie); 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Pittl and Donna Pittl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn worked at K-Mart for 30 years and retired there as a Pharmacy Tech. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Carolyn was a loving selfless person who always put herself last. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed. Carolyn's grandchildren considered her to be the best Mamaw ever.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5-8pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10am at the funeral home.

Carolyn will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
