Carolyn Louise Lewis

Carolyn Louise Lewis, age 73, of Dayton, passed away August 28, 2020, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Paul and Fern Uzzel.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Bobby Matthews.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of over 26 years, Allen Lewis; her daughter, Tracy (Matt) Sumner; granddaughter, Brandi Dryden; siblings, Darrell (Phyllis) Uzzel and Marcia Starritt; and many other loving family and friends.

Carolyn retired from Adequate Maintenance, where she was an Office Manager for many years. In her free time, she loved scrapbooking, crossword puzzles and adored going to car shows with her husband. She was an avid traveler, who loved going to Gatlinburg and Myrtle Beach. She was especially proud of her granddaughter, Brandi, and her accomplishments as a Seabee in the Navy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date at Dayton Memorial Park.
