Carolyn Hartley

Carolyn Hartley, age 74 of Brookville, passed away January 26, 2017. She was born near Wellston, Ohio on February 16, 1942 to the late Bill and Betty Mullins. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sons: John Hartley, Jr., Jeff Hartley and Thomas Hartley; brothers: Allen Mullins and Winifred Mullins; and sisters: Ruth Byers and Connie Marhofer.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Hartley; children: Carolyn (Bill) Iwanusa, Ann (John) Ice and Rachel (Dave) Marshall; grandchildren: Jesse (Monica) Iwanusa, Gwendolynn Iwanusa, Sharon Iwanusa, Amanda Cordray, Eric Wilcox, Kendra (Tim) Deming, Alisha Cordray, Katie Cordray and Nathan Ice; great-grandchildren: Gideon, Ellanor, Maya, Lydia and Matthew; sisters: Geneva Hutchison, Crystal Riley, Sharon Jones; brothers: Larry, Randy and Ronnie Mullins; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Brookville Church of the Brethren, 220 Western Avenue, Brookville, where the family will receive friends from 9:00 - 10:30 am. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Salem Cemetery, Wellston, Ohio. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
