Carolyn was a graduate of Roosevelt High School class of 1959. After a Thirty-year career, she retired from General Motors/Delphi and was greatly missed by her peers. She was a Long-time, devoted member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist church where she was a greeter and also happily served as a member of the Annie Will Scott Missionary Group.
Carolyn was an ardent baker delighting her friends and family with her delicious (from scratch) baked goods, especially her legendary melt-in-the-mouth pound cakes. She had a love of good food and shopping; and she was ALWAYS well put together.
Since childhood, Carolyn was known to be a very outgoing person. She loved to get dressed up and go dancing. She was known to throw some of the best parties among her closest friends and family. She was the fun playful aunt, the lover of ice cream and the owner of a thousand pairs of shoes. Everyone who had the pleasure of truly knowing Carolyn, now has the pleasure of remembering all of the good times; her wonderful sense of humor, the hearty laughs, the looks of love and genuine concern for your well-being, the prayers of protection and the heartfelt conversations. Hers was an animated soul, full of life and love until her final days. Carolyn/Auntie, in your words…we love you more!
The family would like to give special thanks to her amazing caregivers Chamera Black-Walker, Alicia Garrett, Tiara Watson, Lisa Rambo and the staff of Carriage Inn Dayton.
