Carolyn Lue Cooper, age 75 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the Hospice of Dayton.
She was born August 22, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter to the late Harvey and Miriam Waggoner.
Carolyn was a graduate of Nettie Lee Roth High School. It is there, as a sophmore in high school, she met her sweetheart, Roger Cooper. They just celebrated their 56th year of marriage on June 20, 2020.
Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Being a grandmother was a highlight of her life. She was a social butterfly and never knew a stranger. Carolyn cherished her weekends and summers at Indian Lake where she enjoyed fishing and boating. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and was an avid NASCAR fan. She volunteered in the Huber Heights school system while her daughter, Amanda, was enrolled there. Carolyn was always there for everyone and will be dearly missed by all who's lives she has touched.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her twin sister, Sandra Majusick and brother, Robert Waggoner.
Carolyn will be missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Roger ; daughter, Amanda (Gerald "Mark") Welch; grandchildren, Gannon and Amy Joy Welch; brothers, James Waggoner and John (Donna) Waggoner; brother-in-law, Marvin Cooper; many nieces and nephews including Stacy (Ron) Smeltzer; and special friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Due to restrictions surrounding COVID-19, the burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens will be private. Contributions may be made in Carolyn's memory to the Hospice of Dayton or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 W. 44th St., Ste. 609, New York, NY 10036.
