Carolyn "Carol" S. Abernathy, age 84 of Waynesville, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 7, 2022. She was born August 25, 1937 in Beavercreek, Ohio daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte Brewer.
Carol was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, TN. She loved her Waylon Jennings and Country music, spending time on her phone scrolling through her Facebook. Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Keith Abernathy; and dear friend Diane Mikles.
Carol is survived by her husband of 66 years, Melvin Abernathy; son, Marc Abernathy; grandchildren, Kristi (Larry) Stamper, Ian (Stephanie) Buchholz; great grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter Stamper, Charlotte and Laura Buchholz; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
