Carolyn Sue Breining, age 78, of Beavercreek, went home to Heaven on January 5, 2024. She graduated from Franklin High School, class of 1963 and later earned an Associate's Degree from Miami Jacobs College in 1965.
She retired from Lexis Nexis after working there for several years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bob, and they were able to visit over 70 countries around the globe, where they made several life-long friends. She was very active and enjoyed water aerobics and exercising. Carolyn and Bob were avid WSU Raiders basketball fans. Carolyn loved to spend time with her family most of all. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James S. & Mary A. Herb.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of over 58 years, Bob Breining; her children: Stephen Breining (Tammy), Dennis Breining (Jessie), Denise Breining and Teresa Marling (Craig); her brother, Philip Herb (Becky); brother-in-law, Mark A. Breining (Tanya); grandchildren: Mark R. Breining (Heather), David Breining, Carolyn N. Breining, Sydney Corcoran (Trevor), Casey Breining (Matt), Cole Schaefer, Dylan Schaefer, Luke Schaefer, Jake Schaefer, and Peyton Breining; great-grandchildren: Harrison Breining, Addison Bailey, Benjamin Breining, Oliver Corcoran, and Ozzelynn Isaacs; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Following the service, Carolyn will be laid to rest at New Carlisle Cemetery.
