Carole Ann Hensley, age 77 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019. She was born December 1, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Carole was a 1959 graduate of Mad River Township High School (now Stebbins). She was employed by the Federal Government at the Naval Operations Base (NOB) in Norfolk, VA and later transferred to the Defense Electronics Supply Center in Dayton, Ohio.
Carole and her husband, Wade, enjoyed traveling, fishing, canoeing and white water rafting. They also enjoyed dancing, casino trips, and swimming in their swimming pool. She was an avid knitter who enjoyed crafting and macramé.
She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Dutka; mother, Julia Holubs; step-father, John Holubs; and infant son, John Patrick Hensley.
Carole will be missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Wade; sister, Jeanine (Roger) Avant; nephew, Joel (Heidi) Avant; nieces, Angela (Ryan) Mordecai and Jamie Avant; numerous great-nieces & great-nephews; brothers-in-law, Rodger Dean Hensley and Brett (Tina) Hensley; and sisters-in-law, Rowena (Ray) Church and Robin (Warren) Salmons.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio.
