Carol Lee Willis

Carol Lee Willis, age 87 of Springfield, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on November 29, 2016. She was born in Lawrence County to the late Alma and Bartley Leffingwell. Carol married her high school sweetheart, Eugene Willis in 1948. She loved to cook for her friends and family and enjoyed dancing with her husband. Carol was a loving and caring wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Rosalie Wiseman and brother, William Ernest Leffingwell.

Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 68 years, Eugene Willis; son, Rick (Cheryl) Willis; nieces, Joyce Burton and Janice Wiley; nephews, Robert Wiseman and Wayne Leffingwell; and many loving friends.

A Celebration of Carol's Life will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. The family will greet friends and loved ones from 9:00am-10:30am before the funeral service. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the angels who showed such compassion and care to Carol during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carol's memory to Hospice of the Miami Valley.
