Carol "Bud" VanDerhoff Jr.

Carol "Bud" Roy VanDerhoff Jr., aged 84, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on October 31, 1940, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Bud graduated from Otsego High School in Otsego, Michigan. He dedicated many years to Gordon Food Service as a maintenance worker before retiring. Known for his hardworking, loving, caring, and dedicated nature, Bud left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Bud was a devout member of the Ashcraft First Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol R. VanDerhoff, Sr., and Juanita VanDerhoff.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Peggy VanDerhoff; siblings Donna Hudson, Edith Sanders, Dean VanDerhoff and Betty Hill; 4 Children Larry (Terri Lynn) Williams , Mike (Dawn) Williams, Carolyn Ferguson, and Susan Kuntz. Bud was a cherished Grandfather to 14 Grandchildren: Sarah (Garrett) Joseph, Jessica Williams, Emily (Nik) Tucker, Andrew (Lindsay) Williams, Tyler Burr, Haley Lermond, Taylor Burr, Justin Williams, Kenton Lermond, Alexei Kuntz, Mia Kuntz, Max Ferguson, Molly Ferguson, and Abby Ferguson. He was also a Great Grandfather to Augustus, Hayden, Jack, Maverick, Jude and Lukas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Dayton Chapel, located at 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 8th, at 11 a.m. at Ashcraft First Church of God, 2596 Ashcraft Rd, Dayton, OH 45414. Graveside service immediately following at Dayton Memorial Park in Dayton, OH.

Bud's legacy of love and dedication will forever be remembered by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.
