Carol "Sue" Wendell (Nee Hicks), age 85 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Sue was born in Dayton on December 9, 1937 to the late Hubert & Sarah "Sally" Hicks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ross Wendell; sisters, Marjory Volk and Darlene Ross; and brother, Denton "Denny" Hicks.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Bruce "Jerry" Wendell; children, Shannon (Pete) Harding, Dana (Jeff) Roberts, Darryl (Tammy) Wendell and Amy Wendell; grandchildren, Jaime, Sarah, Jacob, Jana and Brandie; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorna Didier and Nancy (Frank) White; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
She loved bowling, camping, traveling, reading and most of all spending time with her family.
Sue and her spunky attitude will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Private services will be held for the family at a later date.
