Carol R. Leyes

Carol R. Leyes, age 73 of Vandalia, passed away March 28, 2018. She was born July 15, 1944 in Idaho, Ohio to the late Paul and Minnie Scowden. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Gibbs.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Leyes; son, Chris Leyes; granddaughters: Kathryn and Caroline; brother, Paul (Judy) Scowden; sisters: Elizabeth (Marvin) Music, Nancy (Carlos) Herman and Brenda (Wayne) Williams; sister-in-law, Mary (Don) Mallard; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am. Father John Tonkin, Celebrant. Burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Carol's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
