Carol Jean Konopinski

Carol Jean Konopinski, age 84 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born September 22, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul and Marie Sowinski.

Carol was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a great cook and baker, famous for her stuffed cabbage and duze kluski. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Carol enjoyed playing bingo and cards but mostly cherished the time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Sowinski and nephew, James Sowinski.

Carol will be missed by her loving husband of 67 years, Thaddeus "Ted" Konopinski; daughters, Theresa (Fred) Aikens and Bobbi (Aaron) Letsky; grandchildren, Jonathan Aikens (Jazmine) and their daughter, Anayah, and one on the way, Rachael Aikens, Shannon Letsky (Victor) and Ashley Letsky; siblings, Paul (Rita) Sowinski and Eileen Hyde; sister-in-law, Stella Dominski; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave., Dayton, Ohio. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
