Carol A. King

Carol A. King, age 40 of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 27, 2020. She was born December 21, 1979 in Augusta, Georgia daughter of Gerald and Paula King.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Carol loved swimming and making people laugh. She enjoyed bringing laughter to everyone else around her. Carol was one of a kind. She loved teaching swimming lessons at the Beavercreek YMCA and the City of Dayton. She enjoyed working at different fairs as a Festival Carny with her favorite Fair being the Minnesota State Fair. She had the biggest smile that would light up a room. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Dax Watkins; brother, Robert "Bobby" H. Johnson III; cousin, Toby Rujiraviriyapinyo; and grandfather, Paul Martin.

Carol is survived by her husband of 7 years, Scott Watkins; daughter, Elektra Ji-eun Watkins; father, Gerald King; step mother, Sunny King; mother, Paula King; siblings, Anita "Joy" King, and Heather King; several aunts and uncles; grandparents, as well as several other family members and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, OH 45459. A Memorial Service will follow the Gathering at 11:00 am at the Church.
