Carol Harowski (Croghan), age 73 of Dayton, Ohio, peacefully left the earth Friday, December 9th, 2022. She was a graduate of Stebbins High School, Class of '69. Carol retired from GM/Delphi Harrison Radiator. She was a member of the Hallelujah Side Baptist Church and the Miamisburg Eagles.
Carol was "basically" a firecracker. She enjoyed time with family, crocheting, crossword puzzles, fishing and going to "the office", aka the Casino. She spent many hours researching and building her family tree.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marjorie (Rice) Croghan; her husband, John Harowski Jr.; her infant sibling; her step-sons, Wes Worley and Todd Harowski; and her grandson, Wesley Worley.
She is survived by her children: John (Kelly) Delaberta III, Melissa Worley, Allison (Ronald) Ryan, Jeff Harowski, Dawn Hart, and Darrin Worley; grandchildren: John Delaberta IV, Kailey Scott, Kyle Thompson, Jeffrey Harowski, Joseph Simpkins, Jeremy Delaberta, and Courtney Simpkins; great-grandchildren: Amilia, Gabriella, Madilynn, Kinsley, Clara and Bennett; her brother James "Jim" (Joyce) Croghan; sister, Ruth Plymail; her best friend of 68 years, Rebecca Bonham Carreiro; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to express their thanks for the help and care provided by Hospice of Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
A visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where a funeral service will begin at 3:00pm.
Carol will be laid to rest with her husband at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
