Carol D. Duckro

CAROL D. DUCKRO (nee Deeter), age 91, of Dayton, Ohio, was escorted to Heaven by angels on Thursday, July 11. She was greeted by many loved ones as she arrived at her Heavenly home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn J and Mary (Robbins) Deeter; her husband, Michael L. Duckro, Jr.; her sons Michael J Duckro and Jeffrey D. Duckro; and her sister, Marilyn A. Dunkman. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie McDonald; her grandson, Brandon Duckro; and several 4-legged grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol is a great lover of game shows. Her favorites are “Jeopardy!”, “Wheel of Fortune”, and “The $100,000 Pyramid”. In fact, if you called when any of those shows were on, you should be prepared for a short conversation. 

Carol LOVES to play bid euchre. For many years, there were several weekly card games with family and friends. 

Carol is always the first person to show up with a meal for anyone who was going through a difficult situation. When family members became too ill to travel, she often prepared an entire Thanksgiving meal and took it to the family. She grew up in a time where food was a gift of love…and she was always happy to oblige.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for her on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 2:00pm, followed by a time of fellowship from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio.
