Carol A. Donaldson, age 66 of Dayton, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Gary, IN on Sept. 19, 1951 to the late Robert and Juanita Jenkins. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Melvin Crawford.
She was a member of the Dayton Northridge Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Carol worked and retired from Montgomery County Children's Services, after which she started her own business, "Carol's Boutique". She had a passion for fashion. Carol was also the owner of Little Reasons Etiquette and Training. She also worked at the Dakota Center, where she provided recreational activities for children. Her passion and heartfelt desire was to teach manners to children and to show compassion to abused children. She was very artistic, she wrote music and poetry. Carol loved music, dancing, dressing up and entertaining family and friends. She loved being around her family and traveling. Carol, you were "Simply the Best Sister", siblings could have had. She was so much fun!
She is survived by one son, Marlon Crawford; stepdaughter, LaShonda Ferrell; ex-husband of 22 years, Henry Donaldson; 8 sisters, Gloria, Anita, Marian, Birda, Cynthia, LaVerne, Veleta and Arlene; 2 brothers, Robert and Donald; special cousin, Linda Smith; 6 nieces, Shana, Shannon, Amanda, LaDonna, Erica and Brooke; 8 nephews, Lawrence, Leon, David, Brian, Anthony, Robert, Tre' and Eugene; 39 first cousins; special friends, Dorothy Foster and Brenda Sanders; friend and companion, "Dino", (The Dog); a host of other great nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends from 3-4 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a service will begin at 4 PM.
