MAHAFFEY, Carol "Grandma," age 69, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin A. Coterel, as well as several siblings.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Angela) Coterel, Sheryl (Scott) Aukerman, Darel (Ann Marie) Coterel, as well as, Bobby Mahaffey, Linda Wells, David Mahaffey, and Ronnie Mahaffey; grandchildren, Matthew (with whom she had a special bond), Sherry, James, Brittany, Sarah, Logan, Audrey Marie, and Kyler; 3 great grandchildren, as well as 1 on the way; siblings, Donald Cannon, June McEldowny, and Barbara Webb; her 2 best friends, sister-in-law, Irene Lair, and niece, Yvonne Marcum.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek. Family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Miami Valley Hospital and Heartland of Beavercreek for all their loving care and compassion.
