Carmella J. Robinson

Carmella June Robinson was born June 27, 1957 in Dayton, OH to the late Wanda L. Gray and Charles W. Gray, Sr. She departed this life on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

She was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, class of 1975. She furthered her education at Sinclair Community College, receiving two associate degrees. Carmella went to work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base right after high school, where she retired after 35 years of service. She joined St. John Baptist Church at an early age where she was also baptized.

Carmella loved to do crafts, from making blankets to floral arrangements. She also loved to play bingo and going to the casino with her mother and sister; but her favorite past time was shopping; she really loved to shop. With all that said, she loved nothing or no one more than her son Miles. He is her greatest life accomplishment.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wanda L. Gray and Charles W. Gray, Sr.; maternal grandparents Toy Green, Sr., and Beulah Gooden; paternal grandparents Willie B. and Samuel Gray; sisters Vickie A. Gray and Robin R. Gray; and nephews Brandon J. Gray and D'LaQuan.

Carmella leaves to cherish her memory her son, Miles C. Robinson; her PoohPoo Naveen A. Gray-Ross; brother Charles W. Gray, Jr.; sister Gretchen L. Gray; nieces ShaToy, Moniqe, Mikiera, and Jackie; great-nieces Si'Ana, Carliah, My'Aira; great-nephews My'Cleon and Jaxson; godson Larry Reid; life-long friend Mary Jones Horton; special cousin Sharon Gray; former husband Anthony Robinson, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 11am to 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. Memorial service will begin at 12pm at the funeral home.
