CLAYTOR, Carlton Craig, age 62, of Dayton, departed this life surrounded by his family on February 4, 2018. Carlton was born on September 29, 1955 in Dayton to Alvin L. and Olivia B. Claytor. He attended Roth High School. After graduating high school, Carlton went on to enlist in the United States Army. He proudly served until his honorable discharge. Carlton worked for many years at Frigidaire. He went on to work as a civilian at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where he retired after many years of loyal service.
In 1992, Carlton married his best friend and the love of his life, Dorothy Warren-Claytor. Carlton was an outdoor enthusiast and loved to spend time camping, fishing, and boating with his family. He was a caring, compassionate, and loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Carlton leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 25 years, Dorothy Claytor; children, Lester Claytor, Monica Claytor, Terri Claytor, and Carlton C. Claytor, Jr.; mother, Olivia Claytor; brother, Terrence Claytor; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Carlton will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home. Visitation from 11:30am-12:30pm. Service following at 12:30pm. Military honors and burial to take place at Dayton National Cemetery.
