Carla Yvette Lumpkin Jordan passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Carla was born on September 3, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio to Frederick and Marcella Lumpkin. She was a graduate of Roth High School, class of 1975. In 2020, she retired from PNC Bank after more than 33 years of service. After retirement, Carla devoted herself to her family, especially her grandchildren, who had her wrapped around their little fingers.
She was proceeded in death by her sister and friend, Karen Lumpkin. She is survived by Bruce Jordan, the love of her life for 40 years, devoted loving daughter, Ashley Jordan; step-children, Maurice (Tonisha) Jordan, Brandin (Shanay) Rodgers; grandchildren, Jaydin Armstong, My'Aire Collins, Brandin Jr., Seriah, Synia, Brailyn, Anieya, Camerin Rogers, Carmello, Marquis, Bryce and Tyler Jordan; her parents, Frederick and Marcella Lumpkin; sister, Betty Lumpkin; special niece, Marchelle (Ed) Mucha; and special nephew, Eric Dion Lumpkin; great niece, Keryn Lumpkin-Mucha; and a host of other nieces and nephews, special friends Linda Cox and Sharon Scott and many more relatives and friends.
A visitation for Carla is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at Newcomers with Pastor, Kurtis Summerville of the Bible Missionary Baptist Church of Wilmington officiating. Cremation will take place at a later date.
