Carl William Day

Day, Carleton William "Carl", age 72, of Centerville, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. Carl was born January 8, 1938 in San Diego, California to the late Barton Eldred & Edna Victoria (Carleton) Day.

Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Donna Jean. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Chief Master Sergeant Barton (Barbara) Day; daughter and son-in-law: Holly (John) Eggert; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother: Bill Day; and numerous other family members, friends, and fans. Carl has been a Dayton Icon for the last 50 years in the Broadcasting Industry.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Centerville, Ohio 45459 with Pastor Eric Pasanchin officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either, A Brighter Day: The Carl Day Memorial Foundation, c/o NB & T Bank, 50 West Spring Valley Pike, Centerville, Ohio 45458, which was developed for youth scholarships or to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Carl. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
