Carl Shupert, age 94, passed away in Dayton, Ohio on April 10, 2015. He was born to the late Raymond and Mae Shupert in West Union, Ohio on June 23, 1920. Carl was a veteran in the United States Army he served in World War II and was a survivor of the Omaha D Day landing. He was a decorated veteran of the following decorations five Bronze Stars, Army Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign, WWII, Army of Occupation, Commemorating Victory in Europe, Commemorating Victory WWII, Armed Forces of The United States Honorable Service Commemorative. Carl was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years Maggie Shupert and son Bobby Huddleston. Carl is survived by his son Jim (Liz) Shupert; daughter Pati Kraft; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother and sister. Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 1pm-2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm. Burial will take place at Valley View Memorial Garden.
