Carl Sigfred Ferdinand Olson Jr.

Carl Sigfred Ferdinand Olson Jr., age 74 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020. He was born March 24, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of the late Carl and Hilda Olson.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia and Johann Olson.
Carl is survived by his wife Pamela; children, Sherry Sly, Barbara Willette, Sheila Olson, Sondra Olson, Melanie (Kevin) Fitzsimmons, Jay (Nick) Olson, Derick Olson, Nicole (Derick) Dufresne, Matthew Good; siblings, Sandra, Joan, Bevley, Larry (Ruth), Paul (Beverly), Harry (Joyce) Olson; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; special cousin and "brother from another mother,", Ed (Sheri) Collins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Carl was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed working on boats with his cousin, Ed, and fishing. He was also a carpenter by trade, and is now up in Heaven bangin' nails with Jesus.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, in Carl's memory. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
