Kessen, Carl C. age 76, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born in Lima, Ohio on March 30, 1944 to the late Arthur and Florentine Kessen (nee Heckman).
He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Kessen; and nephew, Jamie Kessen.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Carol J. Kessen (nee Schmalstig); son, Michael (Tammy) Kessen; grandchildren, Preston and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Jaxon, and Chandler; sister, Brenda (Bill) Long and her children, Dawn, Rebecca, and David; and a host nieces and nephews.
Carl graduated from High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1965. He served in Vietnam from 1965-1968. In 1971, he received honorable discharge and started working for GM, retiring after 30 devoted years. Carl was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father. Carl will truly be missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Helen's Parish, 605 Granville Pl, Dayton, OH 45431.
