Carl Johnson

Johnson, Carl E., age 73 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday January 12, 2012. He was born on February 12, 1938 to the late William and Ruth Johnson. In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his siblings, William Johnson and Alice Lynch; grandson, Benjamin Johnson; and two step-sons, Michael and Mark Orrender.

Carl is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Johnson; three children, Rick Johnson, Ronald Johnson and Carla Johnson; grandson, Jeremy Johnson; great granddaughter, Emma Johnson; and other family members and good friends.

Carl was a proud member and officer of Ironworkers Local #290, Dayton, OH for 54 years. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.

A visitation will take place on Sunday January 15, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd. The funeral service will be held the following day on Monday January 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
