Carl J. Lachey, Sr.
Age 77, of West Milton, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011, at his son's home in Union.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Peter F. & Theresa E. (Watren) Lachey.
Carl is survived by his wife of the past 50 years, Kathey (Pope) Lachey; one son, Carl J. Jr. & his wife, Patricia Lachey; two granddaughters, Megan & Katharine Lachey; two sisters, Judy (Garold) Cook & Mary (Robert) Wagner; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Carl was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church. He retired in 1989 from General Motors as a Senior Buyer with 32 years of service. During the Korean Conflict Carl served with the U. S. Coast Guard. He was a life-member of the Shelby County Deer Hunters Association; and he was a member of the West Milton American Legion Post # 0487.
The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. John MacQuarrie at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 972 S. Miami St., West Milton, Ohio. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton.
Contributions may be made in memory of Carl to VITAS Hospice.
