Carl Burley Hall, age 80, of New Carlisle, OH passed away on July 11, 2023. Carl was born in Grays Knob, KY on November 2, 1942, he was the son of Carlos and Sally (Smith) Hall. On November 22, 1978, in Union, OH, Carl married Deanna Hall (Banner).

During his working career, Carl was employed as an auto body mechanic for Dayton Power and Light. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Deanna. Carl was also an ordained Southern Baptist Minister and served as a chaplain for the Armory in Crossville, TN. He also would call on the sick and injured members of his community that was in the local hospitals. Carl was an evangelist who went to the area prisons preaching the word of the Lord and providing Hope to the ones who need it most. He was an active member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Springfield, OH. Carl was a master at repairing his car and also was an old car enthusiast. Carl never met a stranger, and everybody was his friend. He loved being around people sharing stories and telling jokes. He took great pleasure in being outdoors and going fishing. Carl and Deanna were avid travelers and took many cruises together. Their travels took them to Jamaica and all over the Caribbean Islands and throughout the United States.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Deanna; daughters, Karla (husband Christopher) Combs of Englewood, OH, Tammie Mattingly of Lawrenceburg, Ky; son, Ernest A. "Ernie" (wife Sharon) Flatt, Jr. of Springfield, OH; granddaughters, Audrey (husband Jason) Tipton of Lawrenceburg, KY, Ashley (husband Josh) Craig of Lawrenceburg, KY, Angela (husband Ganesh) Yamraj of Lawrenceburg, Ky, Amber Grant of Lawrenceburg, KY, Haylee (husband Avery) Circle of Springfield, OH and Heather (husband Matt) Minneman of Columbus, OH; grandson, Jordan Grant of West Carrollton, OH; "special brother" of Carl, Ted Spurlock (wife Dianne) of Harlan, KY; eight great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will dearly miss Carl.

Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his five sister, Elsie Metlcalf, Grace Kelley, Violet Johnston, Shirley Burress and Ondra Hall.

Carl's family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be conducted the following day, Wednesday, July 19 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dell Wallace officiating. Burial will immediately follow the funeral in Heritage Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contribution in Carl's name be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
