Carl Hale
Age 81, of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Miami Valley Hospital. Carl was born March 24, 1926 in Davenport, Virginia to Marion & Maudie (Lockard) Hale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers & sisters, Eura, Artie, Noah, Eulis, Clyde & Herbert.
Carl is survived by his wife of the past 57 years, Ada M. (Hurt) Hale; one daughter, Sheila & her husband, Ron Crick; one granddaughter, Angela & her husband, Mark Shipp; one great granddaughter, Caitlin Shipp; and by two sisters, Oad Newton and Gola & her husband, Howell Presley.
Carl was a member of the First Baptist Church of Huber Heights. During WW II he served in the U. S. Army. He went on to retire from General Motors in 1984 with 35 years of service and he was a member of the New Carlisle Masonic Lodge # 100 F & AM.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, and from 12 Noon – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Huber Heights, 5310 Packard Dr., Huber Heights, Ohio 45424. Pastor A. H. Sampley will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Carl to the First Baptist Church of Huber Heights.
