Carl C. Minneman
Age 84, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Englewood Manor.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Omer & Ruby Minneman; and by two brothers, Paul & Earl Minneman.
Carl is survived by his wife of the past 64 years, Jean Minneman; four children, Marilyn (George) Kellar, Carol (Bob) Ewald, Dave Minneman & Dan (Ginger) Minneman; nine grandchildren, Jeff, Lisa, Brian, Kacy, Jennifer, Joe, Angela, Kate & Lauren; thirteen great grandchildren, Emily, Brittany, Ashleigh, Stanley, Joel, Megan, Lucas, Juliana, Jill, Nicholas, Alisa, Adysen & Lauren; three sisters, Irene Schlemmer, Edith Barnes & Marcella Troesch; a host of nieces & nephews; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Carl was a long-time member of Hope Lutheran Church where he loved singing in the choir and had served on the church council. During WW II he served in the U. S. Marine Corps.
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., Monday, with Pastor John Johansen officiating. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
