Carl "Butch" Frederick

Carl (Butch) Frederick joined his son and brother in heaven on 10/11/2014, and the noise level up there has already risen significantly. Butch was born on 12/22/1946 and lived the majority of his life in Beavercreek, Ohio. He was a 1965 graduate of Beavercreek High School, received a Bachelor of Science from Wright State University in 1978, and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service in 1996. Butch, however, was more than school and work. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing golf, camping, traveling, creating gifts for the family in his woodworking shop, listening to and playing music, and most of all, talking and laughing with family and friends. He told his wife of 45 years that if he made her laugh once a day, his job was done. He usually far exceeded that quota. He was an avid TV watcher and confused the rest of the family with his many remotes for all the components. He was a proud Dad and granddad and loved his newly acquired nickname, Uncle Boots, given to him by one of his great nieces. Butch was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy, his brother Phil, and his parents, Carl and Kay Frederick. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Deb Frederick of Beavercreek, brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Cindy Frederick of Union, Kentucky, one granddaughter Isabella (Izzy) Frederick, his "neighborhood brother," Larry Brandenburg and his wife Caroline, and many very special nieces, one crazy nephew, and great-nieces and great -nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Drive, Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
