Carl Alsip

August 6, 1917 — February 13, 2018

Carl Alsip, age 100, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He was born August 6, 1917 in Corbin, Kentucky to Juda Alsip. He married Mary Jeanette Boots on August 12, 1944 in Xenia, OH.

Carl proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a sheet metal worker, working on aircraft repair and modifications. Carl loved to golf, garden and travel. He loved his grandkids and his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Carl is survived by his two Daughters, Marilyn Taylor, Joyce E. (Roger Antonelli) Alsip; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Jeff, and Mike (Jenna) Antonelli, Danny, Brandon and Tim (Donna) Gilligan and Matthew Taylor; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Juda; his wife of 68 years Jeanette; a sister, Georgia; and two brothers, Logan and J.R. Ward.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
