Captain Kevin Michael Burns, 61, of Trotwood, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Janet L. Burns; 1 daughter, Kelly M. Burns-Davis, grandson, Austin; granddaughter, Aleia; parents, Marvin & Gwendolyn Burns; sister, Cheryl Burns; step-daughters, Kanika Keith, Chrisshawna (Ayinde) VanZandt, Zakiya (Eric) Robinson; and 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Kevin was very proud Army Veteran. He was also a retired Captain from the Police Dept, serving at WPAFB and the VA Medical Center. He also served details with the Montgomery Co. Sheriff's Dept., and served as Security for the Kroger Store on Gettysburg Ave.
Kevin was a very caring, patient, and understanding person. He was trustworthy, and kind hearted person. Kevin was very generous and thoughtful, and loved to take care of others.
