Calvin Montgomery
July 9, 1928 — June 23, 2019
Calvin Lawrence Montgomery, age 90 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 9, 1928 in Kankakee County, Illinois to the late Ernest and Hallie Montgomery.
Calvin served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired after 22 years. Following his retirement, he went on to work for the U.S. Postal Service for ten years and also the Dayton Auto Auction for a time.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his infant son, James Dean; two sisters and two brothers.
Calvin will be missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Evelyn; sons, Roger (Mary) Montgomery, Kevin Montgomery; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Grace (Terry) Legget and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at the Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Riverside, Ohio 45404, pastor William Loudermilk, officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
