Calvin D. Deeter

Calvin D. Deeter, age 97 of Centerville, reunited with his beloved wife, Dolores (nee Gray) Deeter on March 28, 2022. He was born December 5, 1924 in Dayton to the late Dorsey and Bertha (nee Aufauldish) Deeter. In addition to his wife and parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Bump, Janet McCoy, Irene Deeter and Dorothy Hunt; brothers, John Graham, Ray Deeter, Robert Deeter and Gene Deeter; son-in-law, Robert M. Welch and loving friend, Theda Parsons.

He is survived by his two children, Diana Welch and Marsha (Mike) Iddings; granddaughters, Heather Welch and Robyn Welch; several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Calvin graduated from Wilber Wright HS and then went onto serve during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He worked and retired from General Motors Delco Air. Calvin was a life member of American Legion Post 165 and VFW Post 3438 West Carrollton. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, playing cards and spending time in Ft. Myers, FL. Calvin had an intense sense of humor all the way up to his last days.

Family will receive guests from 1-2 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum (next to the front office) where a funeral service will begin at 2 pm with military honors. Entombment will follow the service.
