While Caleb Sabourin could roast the best of family and friends, he was still easily the top one percent of the kindest people in this world. His facetious humor would make us chuckle and his heartwarming wit would have us convulsing with laughter. Those that met him would regard the experience as an instant friendship. He treated all his friends like the family that they were to him.
He was an avid sports fan, but we all know that hockey, was his favorite as he often reminded us of the current status of the Columbus Blue Jackets without warning. Not only did he love his music, but he was a great musician. He was proud of his current band, Lucid Wasteland, and everything they had accomplished together. However, they didn't play his favorite Ska genre, but surely, he has forgiven them; which is characteristic of his True Jedi nature.
In the short Thirty-One years of his life that was graciously given to us, he had accomplished many great things. He was one of the hardest working people that most of his family and friends had ever met. However, he would tell you that his proudest accomplishment was the love and relationship he had with his pretty wife. He fought so bravely for that love to endure, and he lasted longer than the strongest of men ever could.
Without a doubt, that big-barrel-chested man had the largest of hearts stuffed in him and now ours are broken for having lost him so early in life. As the author of Fight Club wrote, "We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will." Caleb Sabourin will forever live in our hearts.
