Caine Jones

Caine Donavyn Jones, age 17 of Kettering, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born September 1, 2001 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Lance Jones and Adriane (Latimore) Greer.

Caine was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, Elmer Reed Miller, Harold Foust, Orville Jones and Fred Osteen; paternal grandmother, Nell Jones and a cousin, Kamaal Latimore.

In addition to his parents, Caine is survived by his siblings, Adrianna Greer, Danielle Greer, Artrice Greer and Brice Jones; paternal grandparents, Marsha (Jamey) Foust and Orville (Ruth) Jones; maternal grandparents, Catherine Latimore, Bernard Latimore; paternal great grandmother, Lida Miller, Ruth Osteen and Gloria Foust; 6 uncles; 2 aunts; numerous cousins and many other extended family and friends.

Caine attended Fairmont High School as a Junior and had many friends that enjoyed his company. He played baseball and basketball for the Firebirds and spent a great deal of his time staying fit. Caine also enjoyed a summer baseball program with the Dayton Classics. He enjoyed playing music, fishing, gaming, social media, visits to the gulf coast, spending time with family and his dog, Snickers in his spare time. Caine will always be remembered for his ability to lift your spirits and bring a smile to your face.

A memorial service will begin 6:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Kettering 3939 Swigart Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45440. Family will receive guests during a memorial gathering that will follow services until 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a point to spend time with those you love or make a donation in his memory to a reputable charity of your choice.
