Burt Warren Hawkins, 62, passed away on Sunday, October 15 of 2017, at his residence in Dayton, Ohio, following a brief illness.
He leaves behind his loving fiancée of 4 years, Daisy Marquez, his sister Vicky Fraka and his brother Randy Hawkins.
In his life, Mr. Hawkins was passionate about mechanics and realized his dream of owning & managing his own trucking business for a few years, retiring from it on 2015 to start working as a trailer mechanic for Star Leasing. He had a passion for motorcycles, and acquired an older Harley model he had been repairing until he went ill. Sadly, he couldn't finish that project before he was taken too soon from us.
An avid flea market visitor, he was very active and enjoyed mingling with everyone selling antiques, motorcycle parts and other unique items, engaging in conversation like he met them his whole life. Mr. Hawkins loved his cat Ginger and his two dogs, Missy and Baby, who he considered members of the family, rather than just pets. Needless to say, they are missing their best friend, and show it by looking out the window every single day, not understanding their beloved master will not return.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 pm, with his loved ones, friends and coworkers joining in, to show their final respects.
