Burns Cox

COX, Burns Jr., age 76, of St. Cloud, FL and formerly of Xenia, passed away Wed., Jan. 4, 2006 in St. Cloud with his family at his side. He was preceded in death by his father Burns Cox Sr., mother Nancy "Nannie," 1 sister Eldean Osborne, 1 brother Fordyce Cox and son-in-law James Landis. Burns is survived by 1 daughter Brenda Landis of Kettering; 4 sons Robert Cox (Rosemary) of Tipp City, Mark Cox of St. Cloud, FL, Craig Cox (Lisa) of Dayton and Scott Shearer of Xenia; 3 step-daughters Karen Gray, Linda Shearer and Rita Howards; 2 step-sons Ronnie and Howard Shearer; 3 sisters Vivian Hounshell, Irene Bowen and Verta Smith; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Virginia Cox. He retired from Delco Products in 1984 where he was a member of the I.U.E. and was a former member of Bethel Community Church, Xenia. Funeral services 1 P.M., Tues., Jan. 10, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Rev. John Lockwood officiating. Interment Valley View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
