Bruce T. Ritter

Bruce T. Ritter, age 63 of Lewisburg, Ohio passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on April 19, 2025. He was born September 17, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio son of Jerome and Jacqueline Ritter.

Bruce was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. After graduation, Bruce went into the Army and carried several titles throughout his career. He started as a Military Policeman and transitioned into a Medic. From there he joined as a firefighter and EMT for Harrison Township to Trotwood Station 3. He worked at Emery World Wide as a Ramp Supervisor. Bruce later went to work as a truck driver for several companies for many years. Bruce was a selfless man, whether it was working alongside his fellow firefighters or always putting his wife and children first. His family was his pride and joy and he would do anything to make sure his family was taken care of. He had a passion for all things sports, especially Hockey, Baseball, and all things Ohio, Dayton Dragons, Cincinnati Reds, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Bruce had a passion for fishing, anything outdoors, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Ritter; nephew, Mark Ian Ritter; and his beloved dogs, Hemi and Red.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rhonda Ritter; children, Jason Ritter, Chris Ritter (Harley Dudley), Thomas Ritter; Kelly (Russ) Brown, Michelle (Daniel) Benton, and Michael Ritter; grandchildren, Caleb, Kaylie, Accalia, Hayden, Aiden, Arwen, Brynlee, Evelyn, Chase, and Stephanie; brothers, Mark (Robin) Ritter and Mike (Marianne) Ritter; nieces, Liz (Jason) Fleenor, Brittany Ritter, Allie Ritter, and Tori Hawkins; nephews, Aaron Ritter, Adam Ritter, and Zack Hawkins; his fur babies, Dax and Bruno; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 4-6 pm at Lewisburg Baptist Church, 608 N Commerce St, Lewisburg, OH 45338. A Funeral Service will begin at 6pm also at the Church.
