Bruce Herath, age 88, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
He was born October 11, 1929 in Columbus, OH to the late Albert & Mildred Herath. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, M. Lorraine Herath and son, Trent Herath.
Bruce is survived by his sons: Jerry (Barbara) Herath and Rex (Laura) Herath; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Kent Herath.
Bruce was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Bruce retired from WPAFB. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean War; receiving a Navy Occupation Service Medal (European Clasp) and the National Defense Service Medal. He was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, black and white movies and the Cincinnati Reds.
Private services will be held at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
