Bruce William Dolbeer, 66 of Beavercreek Ohio lost his courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma on April 7, 2018. Bruce was born in Springfield, Ohio on May 19, 1951 to Richard Keith and Phyllis Marie (Gebauer) Dolbeer. He is a 1969 Graduate of Springfield North High School and attended University of Tennessee and Wright State University going on to a hardworking and successful career in sales. He met his wife of nearly 45 years, Linda Sue (Marshall) Dolbeer in 1972 and married April 14, 1973. Bruce and Linda have two children, now Rev. Alisha Mills (Todd) and Bart Christopher by 1976. The family of four followed Bruce's rising career with Household Finance & Alexander Hamilton Life in Michigan and Kansas then to American General Finance in Indiana and Nevada rounding back to home in 2000, settling in Beavercreek working for Bank One. Bruce transitioned to a life in real estate while living in Beavercreek to stay close to family. He began selling houses for Irongate Realtors, then Sibcy Cline, and finally Coldwell Banker. During this Midwestern tour of job promotions and new opportunities Bruce and Linda made many friends, had amazing travel experiences, enjoyed raising their children, and living life fully. Bruce and Linda were blessed to spend time in Reno, Nevada with his sister, Marcia Christine Kringle and his beloved nieces and nephew. Bruce enjoyed golf very much and one of his greatest joys was returning to Ohio to play golf weekly with his older brother Donald Keith Dolbeer (Cynthia) and being able to spend time with his three nephews. In Beavercreek, Bruce and Linda watched their children complete college, get married and bring six fantastic grandkids into their lives. Jack Mitchell Dolbeer (14), Riley Maree Dolbeer(13), Eli Christopher Dolbeer (7), Levi William Mills (7), Maryella Ruth Mills (4), and Harper Rae Dolbeer (2). His grandkids and their care was of great importance to Bruce and their love of their Papoo couldn't be more robust. While Bruce's number-one joy was his family, he is notoriously known for following UT Volunteers sports, telling jokes, spending time with his lap-dogs Daisy & Beasley, and sharing his giftedness in communications, finance, and humor. Bruce was set to retire September 1, 2018 and enjoy traveling, gardening, and not being tied to a phone. Then, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma came into his life in 2017. From January 2017 – April 2018 his life revolved around treatments to get well and keep taking care of Linda and everyone else. He fought hard and had amazing encouragement from so many friends, coworkers, and family members. We thank you all for everything and can't express how much it meant to our whole family. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the American Cancer Society and watch for an Annual Bruce Dolbeer Memorial Golf Tournament. Services will be held at Beaver United Church of Christ in Beavercreek, Ohio on Thursday, April 12, 2018. 1pm visitation with services following at 3pm officiated by Rev. Brian Eastman. Bruce chose to be cremated and scattered in his garden at home where he so much wanted to be. Condolences may be left for the family at www.NewcomerDayton.com
