Brian K. Rushing

Rushing, Brian K., age 55, of Miami Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 20, 2010. Brian is survived by his parents: David R. & Marcia A. (Hunt) Rushing of Kettering; brother; David B. Rushing of Springboro; daughter: Meagan Rushing of Bellevue, KY; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Beryl & Eunice Rushing; maternal grandparents: Karl & Bertha Hunt; and uncle: Robert Rushing. Brian was a graduate of Bettendorf High School in Bettendorf, Iowa where he was Saludatorian. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and his MBA from Depaul University. He was united in marriage to Susan Fannin in 1988 and worked as an IT Specialist for Electronic Data Systems in Dayton. Brian was also a huge sports fan and often attended Southbrook Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with Pastor Charles McMahan officiating. Interment will follow the service at David's Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Brian.
