Brian Harrison Coates

Brian Coates, age 51, passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2023. Brian was a friendly and engaging man with a forgiving heart. He could make a friend anywhere and is very much missed. Brian was preceded in death by grandparents Donald Coates, Emily Hendricks, and Harry Hendricks. He is remembered with love by his mother, Dottie Coates; father, Robert Coates; sister, Molly Coates; nephew, Tommy Shroyer; grandmother, Merrilyn Coates; aunts, Regina Boyd and Sally Sedlacko, as well as many dear family members and friends. Brian grew up in Xenia and West Carrollton, Ohio and worked in the plumbing and construction trades. He loved all animals including cats, squirrels and his beloved dog Allie Mae. Brian enjoyed fishing, camping and firing up the grill to share good times with friends and family. He enjoyed flying his drone and capturing beautiful photography from the sky. Family members extend a special thank you to the kind staff members who cared for Brian at Kettering Hospital, The Laurels of West Carrollton, and Miami Valley Hospital.

A service will be held at 3:00 o'clock on Saturday, April 15th at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Road Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Family will receive friends from 2:00 o'clock until the time of the service.
