Brenda F. Young

Brenda F. Young, age 64 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born May 16, 1955 in Pulaski, Virginia to the late Edward and Sadie Hartless.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was incredibly dedicated and was a soldier for her health and life, in general. Brenda will be remembered for her outgoing, funny personality and that she loved to laugh and never met a stranger. She loved playing bingo and dancing. Brenda will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Christopher Cecil Riggs; brother, James L. Hartless; sisters, Cora Green and Janice Hartless; and mother-in-law, Delores Young.


Brenda will be missed by her loving husband of 25 years, Rick Young; children, J.C. Riggs, Maddie Hogan, Kim Mcleod, Daniel Hiner, David Hiner, Terri Hiner, Brittany Hiner, Alex Young, Brittany Young and David Young; 24 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; sister, Judy Settles; brother, James E. Hartless; close friend, Debbie Kennedy; and many extended family members.

Family will receive friends Monday, August 12, 2019 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
