Brenda Jean Stratford, age 69 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 17, 1949 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Emmitt and Agnes (Edwards) Prather.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Wright; brother, Mark Prather and many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Mark D. Stratford; children, Rodney (Rhonda) Wright, Robbie (Jeannie) Wright an Mark Stratford; grandchildren, Kyle, Travis, Shelby, Tony and Chelsea; great grandchildren; siblings, Diane Knight, James E. Prather and Ricky M. Prather; her beloved Sophie and many other extended family and friends.
Brenda was a graduate of Trotwood Madison High School and trained as a profession truck an bus driver. She enjoyed a long career as a driver for the transportation industry in southwest Ohio. She adored time with family, especially her grandchildren and loved caring for many pets over the years.
At her request services are private for the convenience of the family and memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
