Brenda Joyce King age 61, of Dayton, passed away December 26, 2018. Brenda was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 4, 1957. She was the daughter of Arthur and Patricia Wynn.
Brenda retired from Thomas Medic. She was a dedicated member of the Jehovah's Witness Church where she spent countless hours fellowshipping her faith. In her free time, Brenda enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She especially enjoyed Al Greene and anything "The Blues." Brenda had a reputation of being a great baker. For her family and friends, She would bake with love her "Famous Pound Cake". However, Brenda's greatest joy was being with and singing to her grandkids.
Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, David Allen; sisters, Theresa Ann Wynn and Gwendolyn Wynn; aunts, Mildred Allen and Sade Milton; and uncle, Abren Wynn.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Brenda Canady, Tracy Peavy, LaDonya Hall and Ursula King; son, Edward D. King, Sr.; brothers, Arthur Wynn, Jr., Albert T. Wynn, Kevin Wynn and Donald Ward, Jr.; sisters, Janice Smith and Yolonda Ward; aunts, Mary Hunter, Bertha Gillispe, Mint Wynn and Cicel Ward; uncle, Fred Wynn.
A visitation for Brenda will be held from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton.
