Brenda Sue Cox

Brenda S. Cox went home to be with her Lord on Monday morning, November 18, 2019 at Greene Memorial hospital in Xenia, Ohio. She was born September 29, 1953 in Xenia, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Smoot and Jessie Smoot.

She is preceded in death by her sister Anna Lily Cox and brothers Eugene Smoot and Michael Cox.

Brenda is survived by her husband Ethelbert F.R. Cox lll of Dayton, Ohio, Children, Anita M. Cox of Xenia, Ohio, Ethelbert F.R. Cox lV (Katie Wetzel) of Middletown, Ohio, Samuel Cox of Xenia, Ohio and Jessica Cox of Xenia, Ohio, sisters; Patricia Willis of Xenia, Ohio, Donzela (Ronald) Stewart of Clayton, Ohio, Janet Anderson of Fairborn, Ohio, Melviria Cox of Dayton, Ohio, Lorna Cox of Dayton, Ohio and brother James Smoot of Xenia Ohio, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews and a childhood friend Laura Guy of Indiana.

Brenda took pride in her family and taking care of the many children she kept.

Visitation will take place on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at Bethel Temple Church in Xenia, Ohio.

A Celebration of Brenda's life will follow at 12:00 pm at church.

She will be laid to rest in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Xenia following the service.
