Braulio Ortiz Sr.

Braulio Ortiz Sr. Passed away peacefully on June 12, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton.

He was born on September 17, 1932. He was married to his loving wife of 58 yrs who preceded him in death on July 3, 2011.

Braulio is a distinguished war veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam War. Among his many medals, Braulio was awarded the Bronze Star. He served in both the Army and later made a career with the United States Air Force as a Master Draftsman. He was a faithful member of the Iglesias Maranata of Oviedo where he participated as a Deacon and a founding member. "Papi", as he is fondly called by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, was a loving man with a heart of gold!

He is survived by his three children, Maria Maddox, Maritza Smith, and Braulio Ortiz Jr., his son-in-laws Rob Maddox and Greg Smith, his daughter-in-law Tracey Vela, his grand children, Robin, Michael, Michelle, Danielle, Christine, Tony, Gregory and Erica, his great grandchildren, Taylor, Lydia, Syruss, Harper, Ethan, Mackenzie, Myles, Tanner, Mariella, and Odin.

A celebration of his life will be held at a private family service.

We love you Papi and thinking of you as you enter into heaven. We can hear you saying "Maaaaade it!"
